The child’s mischievous expression is what truly brings a heartfelt smile to his mother’s face. While the boy is only focused on his playful antics—too young to understand the meaning of true happiness—he embodies it effortlessly.

The central theme of this painting is the happiness and love of a mother. Love is, by nature, a soft and gentle feeling, and I chose soft pastels as the most fitting medium to express this tenderness.
