The famous interior designer Albert Hadley once said that design is not about making beauty; it is about making life better. He was completely right about this. The things we look at every single day change how we feel on the inside. If our walls are blank and boring, our mood can also start to feel a little blank and boring too.

When you hang a painting that is full of bright colours and big movements, the whole energy of the house shifts. It is like opening a window on a sunny day and letting fresh air come in. Elisium Art’s collection curated by Adam Mbengue is simply called Joy and it does exactly this. It is a beautiful mix of paintings created by four different artists from all over the world. They all use their brushes to show what makes them happy and when you put their work together it feels like a big colourful celebration.

Four Ways to See Joy

Each of the four artists in this collection brings a very different kind of energy to work. Ranjit Sarkar paints traditional Indian dances like the Ghoomar .His paintings have so much movement that they feel like they are spinning and dancing right on the canvas. You can almost hear the music when you look at them.

Sreya Gupta uses nature, leaves, and flowers to show growth and hope. Her work feels like a warm, sunny morning in a quiet garden. Bruno Angel brings fun, modern, and exciting city energy. His art is full of bright colours and bold shapes that show people connecting and having fun together. Tania Collazos paints beautiful dreamlike worlds filled with tropical plants and underwater scenes. Looking at her art feels like stepping into a very happy dream.

Simple Ways to Style Bold Art in Your House

If you are worried that big colourful paintings will look too busy or messy in your home, do not panic. You do not have to repaint your whole house or buy all the new furniture to make it fit. There are a few very easy tricks that interior designers use to make bright art look amazing in any space.

Let it be the star of the room. If you have a room with plain walls, hang one big colourful painting right in the middle of your main wall. it becomes the hero of space. Because the painting does all the talking, the rest of the room can stay simple and clean, and it will still look very put together.

Pull out the secret colours from the artwork. Look closely at the painting. Do you see a tiny splash of bright orange or a streak of soft green or a dot of yellow. Find a small pillow, a throw blanket or a vase in that exact same colour and place it nearby. It instantly connects the painting to the rest of the room, and the whole space feels very intentional.

Create a reading nook with art around it. You do not have to hang art only on the sofa. Try putting a joyful painting next to a cozy armchair with a small reading light. it turns a quiet corner into a very happy little space that you will actually want to spend time in.

Light it right. Art needs good lighting to really shine. Place your favourite piece near a window with natural sunlight or put a small warm lamp near it so it glows beautifully in the evening. Lighting changes everything and most people do not realise this until they try it.

Charles Eames, the iconic modern designer, once said that the details are not the details; they make the design. This is very true when it comes to art and interior design.

Customer Testimonials

Well, I wanted to tell you that I was traveling, and when I got back, I didn't know where to hang the artwork. After thinking about it for a long time, I decided on a spot. And well, Once it was there, I realized two things: That the painting is truly beautiful and that the location didn't matter so much; any place is a good place for it. Seriously, the artwork is beautiful.

Greetings from “Renacer” in Mexico. We've been here for almost two years now, accompanied by this beautiful creation.

I smile every single one of the 54 times I pass by the paintings during the day. I never imagined art had such power. I feel so grateful to have these works in my home, and I hope art continues to brighten many more homes.
