LVCCA MX is a Mexican artist whose 30-year career is a compelling exploration of the human condition. Inspired by the depths of the subconscious, LVCCA MX masterfully weaves together elements of Expressionism, Figurative art, and Realism to create thought-provoking pieces that resonate with viewers on a deeply personal level. His work delves into the complexities of human emotions, anxieties, desires, and the hidden facets of our being.
Born in Mexico City in 1969, LVCCA MX began his artistic journey in 1987. His formal training commenced in 1990 under the tutelage of painter Roberto Roque, where he honed his skills in various mediums including charcoal, ink, pastel, and oil. This period of learning laid the foundation for his expressive style and technical proficiency. Simultaneously, he collaborated with sculptor Ricardo Ponzanelli from 1992 to 1995, gaining invaluable experience in bronze casting and the creation of monumental works. This multi-faceted training provided a rich artistic base for his later independent creations.
LVCCA MX’s artistic journey is marked by numerous exhibitions both in Mexico and internationally. His work has been featured prominently in Seville, Spain; the Mexican Cultural Center in Paris, France; and in Buenos Aires, Argentina, further solidifying his international presence. His public works include the bronze bust of Dr. Ignacio Burgoa Orihuela, unveiled in 1997 at the National Bar Association in Mexico City. He also created the painting "Los Tiempos del Xólotl" for the boardroom of the Mexican Canine Federation in 1998, and "Muerte y Redención" for the library of the same institution in 1999.
