Housed in the historic former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings, the National Gallery Singapore oversees the world's largest public collection of modern Southeast Asian art, comprising over 8,000 works. Notable pieces include Raden Saleh's "Boschbrand (Forest Fire)" (1849), an evocative depiction of a forest engulfed in flames, and Georgette Chen's "Self Portrait" (1946).
