Fundada en 1809, la Pinacoteca di Brera alberga obras maestras como Los desposorios de la Virgen de Rafael, La cena de Emaús de Caravaggio y El retablo de Montefeltro de Piero della Francesca. Con la reciente incorporación del Palazzo Citterio, el museo se expandió y ahora exhibe arte italiano del siglo XX, incluyendo obras de Amedeo Modigliani y Umberto Boccioni.
