El CSMVS alberga alrededor de 50.000 objetos clasificados en tres secciones: arte, arqueología e historia natural. La sección de arte del museo comprende las colecciones de Sir Purushottam Mavji, adquiridas en 1915, y las colecciones de arte de Sir Ratan Taga y Sir Dorab Tata. Entre sus colecciones se incluyen "Noble ofreciendo joyas a una dama" y "Picnic en el bosque", entre obras de arte destacadas.
