La RBSA es una de las sociedades de arte más antiguas del Reino Unido y alberga diversas exposiciones. Es una organización benéfica dirigida por artistas que apoya a otros artistas y promueve sus obras. También promueve la interacción con las artes visuales mediante diversas exposiciones, eventos y talleres. La galería continúa promocionando la obra de artistas contemporáneos. Aunque la entrada es gratuita, se anima a donar 5 libras a la galería. Además, se pueden adquirir obras de arte.
