Fundada en 1937, la Galería Nacional de Arte cuenta con una vasta colección de obras maestras europeas y americanas. Los visitantes pueden admirar obras como Ginevra de' Benci de Leonardo da Vinci, la única pintura de Da Vinci en América, y el Autorretrato de Vincent van Gogh. El museo también cuenta con el Edificio Este, dedicado al arte moderno y contemporáneo, que exhibe obras de artistas como Mark Rothko y Jackson Pollock.
