Fundado en 1819, el Museo del Prado alberga una impresionante colección de arte europeo desde el siglo XII hasta principios del XX. Entre sus obras maestras más destacadas se encuentran Las Meninas de Diego Velázquez, El 3 de mayo de 1808 de Francisco de Goya y El Jardín de las Delicias de El Bosco. El museo también exhibe obras significativas de El Greco, Peter Paul Rubens y Tiziano.
