La famosa Galería de Arte de Manchester alberga las obras de impresionistas británicos como Wynford Dewhurst, Annie Swynnerton, Susan Dacre y William Burges. La galería posee una importante colección de arte victoriano, especialmente de la Hermandad Prerrafaelita, fundada en 1848 por William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Michael Rossetti, James Collinson, Frederic George Stephens y Thomas Woolner, quienes formaron una Hermandad de siete miembros inspirada en parte en el movimiento nazareno y las artes decorativas victorianas. La galería abre de martes a domingo y cierra los lunes.
