Priyanka Shendage

Priyanka Chivate Shendage is a compelling figurative artist whose remarkable journey is marked by a strong educational foundation, consistent critical acclaim, and a burgeoning exhibition history. Her dedication to her craft has solidified her position as a prominent emerging talent in the Indian art scene.
Priyanka's artistic path began with a solid academic grounding. In 2012, she achieved distinction in her ATD (Art Teacher Diploma) by securing the 1st position in the state of Maharashtra for her first year. She further honed her painting skills, completing her GD Art Painting from Lalit Kala Mahavidhyalay, Ichalkaranji, in 2015. Her commitment to art education continued, leading her to earn a DIP.A.ED (Diploma in Art Education) from Kalavishwa Mahavidhyalay, Sangali, in 2016, once again securing the 1st position in the state of Maharashtra.
Her talent quickly garnered recognition through numerous awards. Priyanka received selections for the prestigious Maharashtra State Art Exhibition in both 2015 and 2016. Early in her career, she earned the "Best Entry Award for Canvas" in Sangali in both 2014 and 2015. Her consistent excellence was further acknowledged with the All India Lokmanya Tilak Award in Pune in 2017 and 2018. More recently, she secured a "Best Painting Award" from the Art Beat Foundation, Pune, in 2021 (Women’s Day Special), and a selection for the Kalabdhi Art Festival, Kolhapur, in 2020. Her works were also selected for "Art For Humanity" in Mumbai in 2021 (Ganesha Festival Exhibition), the Art Plaza Festival Exhibition, Mumbai, in 2022, and the Kalamaharshi Baburao Painter Art Exhibition, Pune, in 2023.
Priyanka's captivating works have been showcased in a series of significant exhibitions across India. Her group exhibitions include a showing at the Sarai Art Gallery, Kolhapur, in 2019, followed by an exhibition at the Colaba Art Gallery, Mumbai, in 2021. The same year, she participated in an Online Group Exhibition by Pradharashak Art Gallery, Mumbai. Her presence continued to grow with a group art exhibition at the Pavilion Hotel, Kolhapur, in 2023. More recently, 2024 saw her participate in the "Kamdhenu Group Show" and "One Square Feet Group Show" at Monalisa Kalagram, Pune, curated by Ajay Chandak and Lisa Pingale, respectively. Looking ahead, her work is slated for "ART MELA 2.0" at 105 Art Gallery, Chandigarh, in 2025, curated by Mehak Bhan.
