Naveen Soni

Rooted in a revered lineage of traditional Indian artists, Naveen Soni carries forward the sacred legacy of Pichwai art with devotion and contemporary sensitivity. A third-generation Pichwai painter, his practice is deeply inspired by Lord Krishna, where each composition becomes an act of spiritual storytelling. Through intricate detailing, symbolic motifs, and luminous colour palettes, Naveen’s works celebrate divine beauty, ritual, and bhakti, while remaining relevant to today’s collectors.

Naveen Soni was trained from an early age under the guidance of his grandfather, Shilp Guru Shri Badrilal Chitrakaar, a National Awardee renowned for his mastery in Miniature and Pichwai art, and his father, Shri Sharad Soni. This rigorous, generational training instilled in him a deep respect for traditional techniques, discipline, and artistic integrity.

With over 14 years of professional experience, Naveen Soni has honed his natural artistic abilities through continuous practice and classical training. His versatility spans multiple traditional Indian schools, including Udaipur, Nathdwara, Bundi, Kota, Kishangarh, Kangra, Basholi, Pahari, and Mughal, alongside contemporary interpretations.

Naveen regards Pichwai as a blessed cultural heritage, preserving its authenticity by painting on cloth and paper using natural stone pigments and gold leaf. His works vividly portray the ever-evolving shringar (adornments) of Lord Krishna, enriched with ornate decorative elements, sacred motifs, and ceremonial symbolism. Through this meticulous craftsmanship, he sustains an unbroken artistic tradition while offering timeless works that resonate across generations.

Customer Testimonials

Well, I wanted to tell you that I was traveling, and when I got back, I didn't know where to hang the artwork. After thinking about it for a long time, I decided on a spot. And well, Once it was there, I realized two things: That the painting is truly beautiful and that the location didn't matter so much; any place is a good place for it. Seriously, the artwork is beautiful.

I smile every single one of the 54 times I pass by the paintings during the day. I never imagined art had such power. I feel so grateful to have these works in my home, and I hope art continues to brighten many more homes.
