Artist Naveen soni hail from a family of traditional artists of Bhilwara, Rajasthan.
The rigorous training undergone by Naveen starting at a young age from his grandfather, Shilp Guru Shri Badrilal Chitrakaar, a renowned National Awardee in Miniature & pichwai Art,as well as from their father Shri Sharad Soni, has enriched their natural abilities as a painter with the rich cultural and traditional artistry, intricacies and finesse of his preceptors. Naveen is versatile and paints both in the traditional styles of Udaipur, Nathdwara, Bundi, Kota, Kishangarh, kangra, basholi, pahari, mughal as well as in contemporary styles.
He considers the traditional art of Pichwai paintings as his blessed cultural heritage and aims to take their heritage forward with subtle contemporary amalgamations. They have maintained the unbroken and ongoing tradition of producing the richly hued Pichwai paintings made on sheets of clothes and paper using natural stone colours and gold leafs.Their Pichwai paintings portray the meticulous and ever changing shringar of Lord Krishna, complemented by imaginative use of various decorative elements, motifs, accessories. Artist Naveen has experimented with new styles of Art form. He amalgamated contemporary and miniature style to produce aesthetic pieces of art and many more, have participated in numerous exhibitions across India.
