Manoj Kumar Paswan

Manoj Kumar Paswan is a contemporary Indian artist specializing in figurative painting. His work, often inspired by the vibrancy of daily life and human emotions, explores themes of identity, relationships, and societal dynamics. Paswan’s artistic approach involves a unique interplay of color, texture, and composition, capturing the nuances of human experience with a deep sensitivity. His paintings are known for their emotive power and evocative storytelling.

Paswan’s formal art education began at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in 2005, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in 2007. His early career included valuable experiences in the television and art education sectors. He worked as an assistant art director for the popular children's television series "Gali Gali Sim Sim" in 2006, honing his skills in set design and prop creation. He also shared his artistic passion by teaching art and craft to children in summer workshops organized by Sahitya Kala Parishad and National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi.

Throughout his 20-year career, Paswan has actively participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs, gaining recognition for his distinctive figurative style. He held a solo exhibition, "Empty Desires," at the prestigious Triveni Kala Sangam in New Delhi in 2018. His work has been featured in prominent galleries like the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai and Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi. Paswan also actively participated in art camps organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, further enriching his artistic practice and fostering creative exchange with fellow artists.
