Kankana Pal

Kankana Pal is an abstract painter known for her dynamic use of acrylics and textures. Her work, spanning 14 years, draws inspiration from the interplay of color, form, and emotion, creating visually captivating pieces that invite contemplation and interpretation. Pal's artistic journey reflects a deep exploration of abstract expressionism, where she utilizes texture and vibrant hues to evoke a range of feelings and narratives within her audience.
Pal's formal art education began with a Diploma in Visual Art from Swar Sangam (A Birla Institute of Visual and Performing Arts) in 2011. Prior to this, she completed her Secondary Examination in 2006. Her artistic career quickly gained momentum, with consistent participation in exhibitions across Kolkata, showcasing her unique approach to abstract art and solidifying her presence in the art world. This early engagement with the art scene laid a strong foundation for her continued success.
Throughout her career, Pal has achieved notable recognition for her artistic contributions. She has successfully sold 34 paintings through exhibitions and online portals. Furthermore, she was awarded and appreciated for excellence in the Shimul International Painting Challenge, in association with the Russian Centre of Science & Culture, Kolkata. She also secured second place in the drawing category at the Operation Sindoor Special Talent competition organized by Glitz & Glory, further demonstrating her artistic skill and versatility.
