Bruno Angel (b. 1994, Manizales, Colombia) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice is defined by over fifteen years of sustained dedication to painting and visual storytelling. From an early age, Bruno demonstrated a strong artistic inclination, participating in national-level painting competitions in Colombia by the age of ten. This early exposure laid the foundation for a career marked by discipline, curiosity, and expressive clarity.
After completing high school, Bruno moved to Savannah, Georgia (USA), where he studied Art and Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) on an academic and portfolio-based scholarship. His formal training strengthened his technical precision and conceptual approach, allowing him to develop a distinctive artistic voice grounded in both structure and emotional intensity.
Bruno’s work exists at the intersection of Pop Art, Fauvism, and contemporary art, drawing inspiration from iconic figures such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. His paintings combine bold graphic elements with liberated, expressive colour, resulting in compositions that are visually striking yet deeply emotive. Through contrast, vibrancy, and form, his work explores human emotion, identity, and presence with immediacy and depth.
Over the years, Bruno has held numerous solo and group exhibitions across Colombia, including recurring exhibitions in Manizales, Bogotá, and academic institutions, as well as live painting performances and museum-featured shows. He has been represented by Culto Gallery (Bogotá) and later Anton Haas Gallery, further establishing his presence within the contemporary art landscape. His work has also been featured in publications such as Revista Praxis.
Today, Bruno Angel continues to evolve his practice, maintaining a strong contemporary voice rooted in colour, expression, and visual impact—positioning him as a compelling figure within the global contemporary art scene.
