I am a visual artist from West Bengal, India, specializing in figurative paintings .

Apurba Karati, a visual artist from West Bengal, India, specializes in figurative paintings that joyously depict an elderly Bengali couple in their retirement, relishing life's simple pleasures missed during their busy years. Despite physical limitations, their enduring love and lingering dreams form the heart of Karati's art. Infused with traditional Bengali attire and rooted in his cultural upbringing, his paintings tell a universal story inspired by his parents. Karati aims to prompt reflection, inviting viewers to appreciate life's small joys – laughter, love, and happiness – often overlooked in the pursuit of ambition, reminding us of the inherent beauty in fleeting moments.
