Anjon Bose

Anjon is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬, using both mediums to explore the emotional, psychological, and social dimensions of contemporary urban life. His visual practice is rooted in 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 ,𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦, 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 of unknown faces — challenging viewers to confront the human condition. As a 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫, I specialize in improvisational and behavioural performance, crafting narratives that delve into the 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫, urban anxiety, and resilience through 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐭. My approach to storytelling is informed by deep 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 and draws inspiration from the works of Francis Bacon, Steven Berkoff, and Robert Wilson. As an art educator, I integrate 𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐠𝐲 to nurture empathy, imagination, and creative expression. I believe in building authentic connections between personal experience and artistic practice. I am currently expanding my network and collaborations.

Customer Testimonials

Well, I wanted to tell you that I was traveling, and when I got back, I didn't know where to hang the artwork. After thinking about it for a long time, I decided on a spot. And well, Once it was there, I realized two things: That the painting is truly beautiful and that the location didn't matter so much; any place is a good place for it. Seriously, the artwork is beautiful.

I smile every single one of the 54 times I pass by the paintings during the day. I never imagined art had such power. I feel so grateful to have these works in my home, and I hope art continues to brighten many more homes.
