My own waking, in six movements — chaos, bliss, the dark night of the soul, the void, groundedness, and at last purpose. The map of what I came through, drawn from the inside. Chaos was the fire on my skin, bliss the galaxy breaking open, the dark night the flame rising from below, the void the black between the stars. Groundedness was the city, bent by the turning but still standing; purpose, the birds lifting toward what I could not yet name. The barbed wire is only what I had to pass through to follow them.
