Judging by the way they talked to each other, the way they were close with each other, and their mannerisms, I wondered if they were queer. One of them looked feminine. But I don’t know.

The point is that I saw 2 men being close in a way that most men deemed gay or transgender. Though I live in India where men hold hands in public platonically, hug & be close physically without any romantic connection, seeing those moments in urban spaces like Bengaluru is still rare because of class, caste, and other background.

Being unbothered in what people say or think, these men, friends or otherwise were just being themselves in a world where masculinity is often shown with fragile qualities.

This is just a moment captured from every day life, travelling in the metro and seeing all sorts of people who go on with every day routine. Painted with thick, bold strokes.
