Information About Artwork
This striking "Immortality series" artwork, measuring 120x22 cm (Height/Width), presents a powerful exploration of spiritual themes through Indian iconography. Executed on paper using pigment, the piece is divided into four distinct panels. The monochromatic palette, dominated by blacks, greys, and whites, is punctuated by strategic uses of red, enhancing the visual impact. Artist Statement on “SUPREME CONCIOUSNESS-BLISS ULTIMATUM” My Immortality Series is an exploration of the eternal journey of the soul, inspired by the Vedantic concept of Sat–Chit–Anandha—Truth, Consciousness, and Bliss. In these etchings, I use layers of line, texture, and symbol to reflect the cycles of human existence and the search for immortality. The bottom panel, Sat, depicts a serene face crowned with a red bindu, surrounded by flowing cosmic energies. This image, for me, represents Truth and Being—the sacred ground of life itself, the foundation of all spiritual realization. The third panel, Chit, turns to Consciousness. The all-seeing eye holding a crescent, and the yogic figure balanced above it, evoke awareness that expands beyond the self. The radiating patterns suggest vibrations, thought waves, and the unfolding of consciousness as a link between the finite and the infinite. The second panel moves toward Anandha, where a solitary seeker rests on a mountain peak beneath the red crescent moon. This is my symbol of transcendence—the moment when awareness dissolves into bliss, where solitude is embraced as cosmic union. The top panel embodies Kālanāga, the many-headed serpent of time. For me, this form signifies the aeons of passage in the human cycle—birth, death, and rebirth repeating endlessly. The serpent’s endless coils, the crow, and the red crescent together remind us that time itself is both destroyer and renewer, and that immortality is found not by escaping time but by realizing the eternal within it. Through this series, I seek to transform philosophy into visual scripture. Etching, with its permanence and layered depth, allows me to inscribe the endless human cycle while pointing toward the timeless truth of Sat–Chit–Anandha.
