Based in Pen, Maharashtra, Pooja's art expresses a deep connection with the aquatic world. She explores themes from vibrant fish and fisherwomen to Hindu mythology, particularly Vishnu's Matsya Avatar. Her compositions, filled with fluid movement and radiant colors, are both beautiful and symbolic. Her work is a constantly evolving visual journey.
From childhood, the ocean's colors and textures—shells, pebbles, and shimmering fish—captivated her and became central to her art. "Underwater World" is her lens for expressing life's vastness.
After moving to Kokan, she incorporated coral reefs, tortoises, and turtles, inspired by the sea's beauty. Vishnu's Matsya Avatar is a recurring subject, inspiring works like "Protector," which blends divine symbolism (Sheshnag, lotus, omnipresent eyes) with natural elements.
Recently, she explores the peacock's form and its connection to Goddess Saraswati, integrating symbolic elements like letters and the Saraswati yantra.
She is fortunate to showcase her work at various exhibitions, and each show deepens her understanding of both her art and its purpose. Pooja believes that the themes we experience in life—what we see, feel, and live—are always reflected in the art that we create.
Her exhibitions have deepened her artistic understanding. Her achievements include:
